2026 Season Preview
Its time again for my unsolicited opinions on everyone's fantasy teams. You certainly didn't sign up to play in SEWIFFL for the pre-season previews, but by golly you're gonna get them. Up for judgement today is Andy and myself. So find your baseball glove that John Jaha signed in 1996 and your West Ham United kit...its time for part 2 of The Preview.

2025 Record: 10-4
Andy's 2025 season ended where he's become all to used to ending a season, in a Superb Owl loss. I don't want to make this personal, but Joe Buck Yourself is quickly becoming the Chicago Cubs of SEWIFFL(Kidding, KIDDING...Andy still has 95 years of failure built in as a buffer before that comparison is legit.)
Let's start from the top of the roster. Andy brings a strong QB duo into Week 1. Jalen Hurts brings weekly upside with his relatively safe floor thanks to his rushing ability. Jared Goff doesn't run the ball but he has a LOT of weapons and can sling the ball. 4500+ yards each of the last 3 seasons, along with a fantastic 34-8 TD-INT ratio. Goff might not be the sexiest pick, but he was insane value for Andy being picked in the 13th round.
Chase Brown has been a staple on the Joe Buck Yourself roster since being picked off the waiver wire early in the 2024 season. He doesn't get enough love for his production in Cincinnati, but that probably gets chalked up to being in the shadow of Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase, and Higgins. Brown is the crafty fantasy vet but that's not where the firepower ends for this squad. Kenneth Walker is an exciting new piece of the Kansas City offense. They've been in need of reliability and "oomph" at the RB position and the reigning Super Bowl MVP brings just that. The cherry on top of the group is Cam Skattebo. For you F1 fans, Skatt was on a fantastic purple sector before injury cut his rookie season short but before that he looked like a real workhorse for the Giants. I love this group and provided they stay on the field, they should be a great base for Andy's championship run. There's not much on the bench, but Bill Croskey-Merritt showed flashes of brilliance that makes him worthy of a stash to see how things start out.
Unfortunately for Andy Ja'Marr Chase's 4 years worth of control were up after last season. That leaves the squad in need of a point getter, touchdown scorer, true #1 option. Those are tough to c- oh...he just kept Puka Nacua, last year's #1 WR and he'll be taking over that lead scorer role provided he doesn't get punished by the NFL for being an idiot. Got it. Along with Puka there are some additional strong weapons that come with some question marks. Stefon Diggs arrives in Washington and should get plenty of looks without always seeing the top defender considering Terry McLaurin is starting opposite him. Ladd McConkey had an awfully average season last year, nearly 400 less receiving yards than his rookie campaign, if he can find his form again he'll be a phenomenal WR2 in this squad, as well as incredible value at a 4th round pick. Makai Lemon provides potential on the bench and Khalil Shakir is a reliable, if unsexy, option for bye weeks and injury fill ins.
We'll round things out with TE. Harold Fannin had a fantastic rookie season, a rarity at the TE position. TE tends to be a position where guys really hit their stride 2 or 3 seasons in. Fannin was catching footballs from terrible QBs last season, and that looks to continue this year. Deshaun Watson looked terrible in the preseason. On the bench Andy has safe, but easily cuttable, Brenton Strange. The Jags believe in him enough to give him a contract extension, we'll wait and see if he can truly break out this year.

2025 Record: 10-4
In shocking fashion, my 2025 season ended again with the clip of Kevin from The League freaking out on the rest of the guys.
I'll be honest, after my two keepers I felt very meh about my draft. I said it elsewhere, but my plan coming in was to hold off for QB until the 9th or 10th round and pick up Bo Nix...and then I decided to be a giant wimp and bail out and take Caleb Williams. From a completely non-biased fantasy opinion, I truly do think Williams makes another leap this year and cements himself as an elite QB in the NFL. He's got plenty of weapons and I expect to see somewhere in the 4200, 33 TD range of season long stats. As a completely biased Packers fan I think the Bears suck and will continue to do so, Inshallah.
At RB there's not much that needs to be said about Jahmyr Gibbs. He's really, really, good at football. And he's the only option at RB now that Isiah Pacheco is on the IR for the first 4 weeks of the season. Past the guaranteed, I didn't realize how good of a season Travis Etienne had last year 1100 rushing yards, 13 total TDs. The big question is will the Saints give him that kind of work again. The contract he signed says yes, but there's still names behind him that give pause. The RB depth isn't the best thing on my squad, Jadarian Price seems to be the man in Seattle, but once Zach Charbonnet is healthy, logic says his workload gets cut into and both see plenty of work. Woody Marks and Tyjae Spears are in similar positions, committee roles at best, backup roles in reality.
WR is a similar story, but without as much depth. CeeDee Lamb's days of top tier WR1 work are over for now, in my opinion. That's not for lack of talent from Lamb, but the talent that's lining up opposite him in George Pickens. Dak Prescott will utilize all the weapons he has access to, which means less targets for Lamb. If he can touch the low end of the WR1 tier, I'd be thrilled. Tee Higgins, I think, has a good shot to end up at that same WR1 tier. Its right where he ended up last season, and since he'll rarely be getting the defensive focus with Ja'Marr Chase on the field with him, Tee should have a great season. The big question will be if he can find the endzone as often as he has the last two seasons, 10 and 11 respectively. When healthy, Chris Godwin is reliably, if not a bit boring. 8-10 points, with the very occasional pop off game. Ja'Kobi Lane and De'Zhaun Stribling are both rookies, so expectations are tempered, and I'm hoping Keenan Allen can have a higher TD per game than his BAC.
I'm very much not sold of Kyle Pitts. If you knock his 40 point game(and I fully realize that taking away games is a cheap way of breaking down a player) to even a very good 20 point game, he drops from TE2 to TE8ish. Still a great year, but shows what one big game can do to a season stat line at such a shallow position. Obviously Atlanta believes in him as they gave him a 3 year extension after franchise tagging him. For my sanity, I hope he's a focus of the offense.
