Welcome to the Week 6 write up. Its going to be another meme week, so settle in. This week I'm going to decide which Taylor Swift song describes your fantasy season 5 weeks in.
Bill: Shake It Off. I think Bill would be the first to admit that his season hasn't gone the way he'd hoped. He's made some aggressive moves in free agency, some have paid off(Puka Nacua) and some haven't(Danny Dimes). Bill is always one to get back on the horse and keep making moves to try to turn things around.
Zach: We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together. Much like Bill, things haven't gone exactly how Zach would've wanted. A huge reason for that is Tee Higgins underperforming along with the majority of Who Dey Nation. Zach might be singing this to Tee this off season if he doesn't revert to his previous ways in a hurry.
James: To quote James "This is the worst fantasy football team I've ever had, and there were some DOOOOOOOZZZZIIIIEEES" I'd say James might have some Bad Blood with his squad this year(and with fantasy football in general.)
George: Jorge is in that awkward in between spot of a struggling team vs fringe of fighting for a playoff spot. It might be a long shot to get into the playoffs at this point, but nothing is impossible. Even someone's Wildest Dreams might come true.
Jeff: Jeff sits at 5-5, directly even. We were all worried at the beginning of the year that Jeff might continue his hot streak this season. I could even say that I Knew You Were Trouble When You Walked In. Hopefully for the rest of the league Jeff isn't trouble for us the rest of the way.
Dan: Up until last week I'm not sure what my song would've been....and then Justin Jefferson's hamstring decided to do its best Rice Krispy impression and POP. After that it was nothing but Teardrops on my Guitar or on my cell phone, more accurately.
Ryan: Ryan flew to a fast start this year. And since then its been some rough sailing for him. If it were up to him he'd Begin Again since he started so well. He's still a dangerous team considering his super stack of Mahomes/Kelce.
Sam: This one might cut both ways for Sam. DJ Moore started the season off quiet but has since exploded to be one of the most dangerous players in the league. Meanwhile Chris Olave had a great first 3 weeks and has since had back to back iffy weeks..enough to say to yourself "I Forgot You Existed"
Randy: Randy's season might hinge on Saquon getting back on the field. He's got a bit of rag tag bunch, but they keep performing for him. I can imagine Randy's messages to Saquon on a nightly basis include "Soon You'll Get Better"
Chris: This one is short and sweet. Having Christian McCaffery can absolutely make a fantasy manager feel Safe and Sound. Enough said.
Ben: Ben has turned things around after his disappointing season last year. Everything has Changed for Ben. He's sitting in 2nd place and appears to be a real contender for his 2nd SEWIFFL Suberb Owl Title.
Andy: I'd like to imagine Andy has SEWIFFL.com/home as his home page and looks at the picture of the Suberb Owl Trophy and thinks to himself "You Belong With Me" as he sips his morning coffee. This could be Andy's year.
Welp...Every time I think I've hit a new low with these I surprise myself. My Youtube recommended videos are going to be screwed up for a while having looked up all that T-Swift, but its a sacrifice I'm willing to make for the league.
Bonuses: Going back to Week 5, high scoring D/ST goes to Ben. The Jets put up 19 points as they continue being the reason the Jets can keep themselves in games.
This week's bonus is the Trio bonus. Top 3 scorers, regardless of position, take home the money.
I think that's all I've got this week for you. Apologies for missing last week and being late this week. You get what you pay for in a commissioner, I say. Good luck to everyone, keep fighting, there's still a LOT of football left to play. We do have international football again, so those lineups need to be set early Sunday morning.
